The dumping of the documents comes a day after a nine-member commission released its final report detailing the deadly riots at the Capitol and former President Donald Trump’s role in it. rice field.
Friday’s release included testimony from high-profile witnesses, including Ivanka Trump, former Attorney General Bill Barr and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The commission released testimony transcripts from a total of 46 witnesses on Friday, and released several records earlier in the week. The release of the full report will take place shortly before the 117th Congress concludes. However, given that the holiday weekend was near, the timing of the document dump led to little fanfare.
Friday’s publication comes four days after the commission held its final hearing on Monday, during which they referred Trump to the Justice Department on four criminal charges, including obstruction and inciting a riot.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told a committee on Jan. 6 that he does not support Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia’s proposal to convene the Cabinet to advise President Donald Trump.
According to a transcript of the deposition released Friday night, Pompeo testified, “I remember — maybe this is a fine line — I remember thinking it wasn’t productive.”
An unnamed commission attorney said Scalia recalled something Pompeo sarcastically told him.
Pompeo told the panel that he could only recall being opposed to such an idea because it was so unlikely that Trump would resign. Scalia also told the committee that Pompeo had advised that such a meeting could backfire and further anger Trump.
Pompeo testified that such comments did not match his memory.
