Carlos Correa’s situation continues to get stranger with each passing day.

After medical concerns reportedly derailed his contract with the Giants, Correa reportedly agreed to a 12-year, $315 million deal with the New York Mets, but New York has the same medical concerns as San Francisco. is reported to have

There is reportedly optimism that Correa and the Mets can overcome recent obstacles, but Jon Heyman of the New York Post said Monday evening that Correa will restructure its reported agreement with the Mets. He reportedly wasn’t open to the idea. Hope to renegotiate.

A source told Heyman that there was a 55% chance that Correa and the Mets would find common ground and sign a contract, a less exciting number for Mets fans.

Heyman also reported that three more teams are in contact with Correa’s camp after the Mets expressed concern about Correa’s medical history.

It remains to be seen if the Giants are one of three teams that have reached out, or if they are at all interested in renegotiating with Correa after the reported deal fell apart.

Whatever the circumstances, all parties involved will be eager for this story to finally end.
