Possible Denver Broncos Head Coaching candidates

The Broncos finally made the move they needed a few weeks ago. They fired former head coach Nathaniel Hackett today, ending his tenure with the team in disappointment. He hasn’t even finished a full season, lasting just 15 games with the team, and seems to have lost control of his roster during the Christmas massacre we witnessed yesterday.

Now, the Broncos are again in the search for a head coach after a year. Lead your search to and advance your search for coaching. So let’s see what they decided to do here.

With that said, I’m going to throw out a few potential contenders whose names we’ll see interviewed by the Broncos in the coming days and weeks. I will introduce some of them.

realistic candidate

The Broncos are apparently looking for a candidate with experience, but this search hasn’t started yet, so we don’t yet know what they want. Looking for candidates is a safe bet.

Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn: Last year, before the Broncos settled on Hackett, Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn seemed to be the head coach’s gig favorite. (he was able to get it this year).Will Quinn return to being the Broncos frontrunner now that Hackett is out?

With owner and CEO Greg Penner and his group leading this search for head coaching, candidates Patton liked or had a relationship with might not make much sense. is likely to be one of the frontrunners and shouldn’t be ignored, although it may not be as likely as it was a year ago.

Though he’s had problems at Indy, the Colts have played well in the past with the aging Phillip Rivers and Carson Wentz. Known for and will bring stability and experience to the Broncos offense.

He has a relationship with new ownership group advisor Peyton Manning, which should also help his case. He’s not the sexiest option, but his Colts team has been competitive. He can also keep Ejiro Evero as his defensive coordinator while he concentrates on gathering an offensive staff to fix the Broncos’ offense.

I think Reich would be the most logical candidate for the Broncos this offseason. He looks safer, has more experience, and has a relationship with Manning, which he hopes will help fix the Broncos’ broken attacks.

First head coach option

I think more experienced candidates are more likely to be picked, but I don’t think these first-time head coach candidates should be ignored.

San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator Demeko Lyons: He’ll probably be one of the hottest new head coaches this offseason. The former NFL linebacker is a big reason the 49ers defense is playing like the best defense in the league and the team looks like a Super Bowl contender.

His defense on the field is enough to make him an interesting candidate, but being part of Kyle Shanahan’s coaching tree is also a plus for him. I am quite happy with the results.

That said, if the Broncos are going to hire an up-and-coming defensively-minded head coach, why wouldn’t they hire the head coach who’s currently in the building?

philadelphia eagles Attack Coordinator Shane Steichen: The Eagles play caller is one of the hottest offensive minds in the game and the mastermind behind the Eagles’ offense. It’s hard to ignore what he’s done for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who has gone from “running the first quarterback” to being an MVP frontrunner. His offense was a high-scoring unit, with backup he Gardner at quarterback He Minshew also played well under center.

The more I read about this guy, the more I want him to be the next Broncos head coach.

I can understand why many would want an experienced head coach, but such a bright aggressive mind cannot be ignored. He can bring this Broncos offense to life and hopefully fix Russell Wilson or build an offense around whoever replaces him under the center.

He’s one of the coaches rumored to be on the Broncos’ first coaching list, so we’ll see if we get an interview in the coming weeks. seems like a player who can do just that.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon: The Broncos interviewed Ganon last year and he was a finalist for the Texans job last year as well. He wasn’t hired last year, but the Eagles are happy about it. He ranks near the top on most defensive metrics and has a defense that can consistently chase passers.

Now, the Broncos decided not to nominate him last year and didn’t make the finalists, but he’s expected to make interview rounds again this offseason. Is not it?

kansas city chiefs Attack Coordinator Eric Bieniemy: Bieniemy has been a frontrunner for years, but has yet to be hired. He interviewed for the Broncos job last year, but he didn’t end up being a finalist for the job and wasn’t hired at all.

He was mentioned in the initial short list of candidates, but the fact that he’s been through multiple hiring cycles and hasn’t been hired is a red flag for me. With past issues, it will be difficult to get hired in Denver. Whether he will be hired for the head coaching job this year or whether he will remain in Kansas City remains to be seen.

His inexperience worries me and it may be a year or so before he gets a job, but I expect him to get a few interviews in this hiring cycle. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of them.

Denver Broncos Evero Evero defensive coordinator: The Broncos’ current defensive play caller seems like a strong contender across the league, so why shouldn’t the Broncos be interested?

He has played at a high level in the Broncos defense this season despite multiple injuries and will earn the respect of the locker room. He simply hopes to return as a defensive coordinator.

new york giants Attack Coordinator Mike Kafka: The former NFL quarterback, who trained under Andy Reed, joined Bryan Daball of the New York Giants this offseason. Daboll handed over his calling duties to him and the results were pretty good on all counts.

Daniel Jones is their quarterback, Sacwon Barkley is their lone star playmaker, their receiver is the Mishmash group and he has a rookie tight end. Right in the middle of the NFC playoffs, he’s got results from this whole group. He may not be the sexiest candidate, but he may be the coach who made the most of this season’s little. , I wouldn’t be surprised.

buffalo bills Attack Coordinator Ken Dorsey: Dorsey replaced Buffalo’s Davor as the playcaller behind the high-octane Buffalo Bills’ offense. That team didn’t miss a beat under his play call, and despite some pretty big blowouts in the coaching box, it was a solid result for someone making a play call for the first time.

Coordinators for top NFL teams are typically interviewed during the hiring cycle. Brian Dabor’s success could help him get hired in this cycle. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dorsey try out for a Broncos job this offseason.

An unlikely but exciting option

These options are popular among fans, but they’re really unlikely…but not impossible. Keep these potentially false hopes alive in Broncos Country!

Former Saints head coach Sean Payton: When it comes to coaching candidates, it’s probably the prize this offseason. The future Hall of Fame coach “retired” last year but appears to be returning to the coaching ranks this year. , sounds like he is available.

An offensive mastermind would be perfect for Denver, but I don’t think so. Rumor has it he wants Los Angeles (they’ve just qualified for the playoffs, so it seems unlikely they’ll fire the coach) and wants former Broncos head coach Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator. Both of these things could be keeping him out of Denver, but that could change.

The real x-factor here is Broncos ownership, which can offer coaches ridiculous money. Whether or not they’ll go down these routes remains to be seen, but despite their shortcomings, someone has enough wealth to make someone seriously consider this job.

Michigan Football Head Coach Jim Harbaugh: He’s now well paid to do his dream job and put together a very competitive team that competes for the National Championship every year, but can he return to the NFL?

Seems unlikely, and he’s turned down chances in the past, but could Denver push him out of the college ranks? but again Walton’s money is the x factor.

It looks like he’ll be back in the NFL one day, but when and with whom is the big question.
