"This is too scary. I don't think we can get off the bridge because it's full of people," says one driver in one video clip.
Zhengzhou traffic police estimated that 280 to 290 vehicles were involved in the crash, Newsweek reported.

More than 70 firefighters crossed the Yellow River to respond to a major accident on a bridge connecting Zhengzhou and the northern region, including the industrial city of Xinxiang, the Mirror reported. Authorities rushed the injured driver and passenger to a local hospital.
In 2018, there was a similar pile-up in Henan province, where nine people were killed and 18 injured.
The accident reportedly involved 28 trucks crashing into each other in heavy fog on the Daqing and Guangzhou highways in Pingyu County.
