Manteo’s Midnight Magic Food, Entertainment and Fireworks Event Moved to Sunday

Due to concerns about inclement weather, the New Year’s Eve event, Midnight Magic in Manteo, will be postponed to Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Michele Bunce, Program Manager for the Town of Manteo, said:
Bands and amusement have been rescheduled for future town events, but there’s still food, a fire pit with smores, a variety of lawn games, and fun giveaways to help brighten the night. It takes place throughout and ends with a colorful fireworks display at 7pm.
Food vendors at this event include STAG’s Soulshine Kitchen. Mahimahi’s; Ruth Gibbs with hot dogs, chips and drinks. Mr. Buddy with funnel cake and fried Oreos. and Kona ice cream.
No parking will be permitted on Queen Elizabeth Avenue between Budley Street and Sir Walter Raleigh Street from Saturday, December 31st at 9:00 PM to Sunday, January 1st at 9:00 PM.afternoon
The parking lot on Queen Elizabeth Avenue between the Tranquil House Inn and Kitty Hawk Kite, known as the ‘Christmas Tree Parking Lot’, is closed from 1:00 PM on Saturdays to 9:00 PM on Sundays.
Parking with complimentary golf cart and shuttle van service is available at Town Common, Albemarle College, or Manteo Elementary School parking lots to get to the downtown festival area. A shuttle bus will run every 15 minutes during the event.
