context: Datasembly told Axios that it collected prices for 13 products from four retailers (Albertsons, Kroger, Target and Walmart) on Dec. 12 to determine the prices for this year’s holiday dinners.

By numbers: According to Datasembly, shopping carts averaged $60.29 this year and $51.79 last year, up 16.4%.
