An Arkansas woman who allegedly held a Walmart, Mississippi employee hostage was killed Wednesday night by authorities.
Video footage posted online shows the hostage crisis unfolding at a Walmart in Richland. The suspect held a frightened female clerk at gunpoint in front of the store.
The suspect has been identified as Corunda McGinister, 21, of West Helena, Arkansas.

The shooting occurred around 5:45 p.m., according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
“This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further comment from MBI at this time,” MBI told Fox News Digital.
Authorities did not say why McGinister allegedly pulled out the gun. Footage shows her screaming and brandishing a weapon. No one else was injured during filming.
At one point, McGinister caught someone filming her.
“Hey, I’m not trying to hurt anyone,” she cried.

“Then why don’t you let her go?” replied the man who was filming.
“We’re not doing this crooked cop,” she yells back.
