Warriors fans at the Chase Center could feel it coming, and injured Portland Trail Blazers guard Gary Payton II could see it coming.

Klay Thompson’s 3-pointer with 1:36 left in regulation helped the Warriors to a 118-112 victory over the Blazers on Friday night.

Payton, who hasn’t played yet this season, was on the sidelines and began to turn away just before Thompson’s shot came in. The 3-point cap capped the Warriors’ run of 12-0 and Portland’s 110-102. They flipped the lead to 114-. 110 Golden State advantage.

Thompson and the Warriors outscored the Blazers 30-16 in the fourth quarter to close an 11-point deficit for their fourth straight win.

The 3-pointer was one of seven shots Thompson had on the night, scoring 31 points. He grabbed 11-of-22 from the field, 7-of-15 from the deep, grabbed 4 rebounds and gave 2 assists for a plus-8 in the win.
