The first Mega Millions draw of the new year is going to be a big one as no one won Friday night’s estimated $685 million jackpot.

The top prize has increased to $785 million ahead of the next draw on Tuesday night.

No lottery tickets were purchased that matched all six numbers drawn Friday night, Mega Millions said in a statement early Saturday.

The numbers chosen for Friday were 1, 3, 6, 44, 51 and the gold Megaball 7.

With long odds of 1 in 302.6 million, the jackpot was huge, with 22 draws in a row without a big winner.

An estimated $785 million in prize money is for winners who choose to be paid out through annuities in annual checks over 29 years. Nearly all winners opted for cash, with an estimated $395 million in the upcoming draw.

The jackpot is the largest since the $2.04 billion Powerball prize was won in California on November 8th. The winner for that record payout has not been announced.

“Only the last three times the Mega Millions jackpot has exceeded $700 million, and all three rolls have exceeded $1 billion,” said Mega Millions.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, as well as Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.
