The Golden Gate National Recreation Area closes Fort Point, Muir Woods, Point Bonita Lighthouse, Nike Missile Site, Tennessee Valley Beach, and overlooks Saturday from the top of the Golden Gate Bridge on Conzelman Road. The park is closed all day.

There are many off-limits parks along the American River in the Sacramento area. The following recreation areas will be closed starting Friday, according to the Sacramento County Regional Parks:

“In these situations, the Department of Reclamation releases water from the Folsom Dam, which flows down the American River. The impact tends to affect parks in Sacramento County when the discharge is high.” said Matt Robinson of Sacramento. A county spokesperson told KCRA.
The Bay Area also closed the Carnegie State Automotive Recreation Area, an off-highway spot with over 80 miles of ATV and motorcycle trails. The park will be closed for a minimum of 12 hours if more than 0.5 inches of rain falls within 24 hours.
