The Buffalo Bills will need another travel plan to return home from Chicago this weekend.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the Buffalo Niagara International Airport will be closed until at least 11 a.m. Monday, as a massive snowstorm hits Buffalo.
Hochul says the weather in Buffalo is “life threatening” and the airport is closed due to “dangerous weather conditions”.
The blizzard has been called one of the worst in Buffalo history, with visibility as low as an eighth mile and snowdrifts reaching nearly six feet high.
Bills is currently playing the Bears at Soldier Field and cannot fly back to Buffalo after the game. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team is considering travel options to get home.
The bills had a similar problem in week 11 of the season when it mostly snowed in Buffalo. They were scheduled to face the Cleveland Browns at home, but had to move the game to Ford Field in Detroit to play.
