Severe winter storms continue to unleash dangerous conditions across the country this holiday weekend.

If you’re just catching up, here are some of Storm’s latest developments.

Increased fatalities: At least 15 people died in several states, including New York, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas and Missouri.

Power outage: According to Poweroutage.Us, more than 1.7 million customers nationwide are still without power as of Saturday morning. Before dawn on Saturday, utilities were working to restore power, but that number could rise throughout the day as strong winds are expected across much of the Midwest and Northeast. In states such as North Carolina and Tennessee, residents have been told to expect temporary power outages as the weather strains power suppliers.

Extremely cold temperatures: Cold weather warnings were issued to more than 100 million people in the United States on Saturday morning. Some alerts have started to expire in parts of the central and eastern regions of the country.

Holiday impact: Winter storms disrupted holiday travel for three straight days. Airlines canceled more than 9,000 flights in total across the country during pre-cancellations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. More than 1,600 flights have been canceled nationwide on Saturday so far. Couriers such as Amazon, the US Postal Service, UPS and FedEx have warned customers that the storm will disrupt operations on the last delivery day before Christmas.
