NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Southwest Airlines is still reeling from last week’s holiday trip, which saw thousands of flights canceled and many others significantly delayed.

Airlines are now in the process of reimbursing everyone who experienced flight cancellations or serious delays during their holiday trip last week. I promised to help track it down.

Find out how to request a refund, baggage tracker, and FAQs here.

The apparent meltdown may have come at the worst possible time, as travelers were trying to run a domestic or international vacation trip for the holidays. Images and videos of people stranded at airports are littered across social media and national news programs.

Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan Releases Video December 27 included an apology and a promise to make things right. Ryan Green did the same the next day.

It remains to be seen how much damage airlines will suffer as a result of mishandling holiday flights, but the U.S. Department of Transportation is investigating Southwest Airlines and will continue to pressure the company to provide answers to customers. I promise.
